Puig回到大聯盟後在9月份繳出了3成的高打擊率、言行舉止也有所改善，讓總經理Zaidi感到相當滿意，Zaidi表示：「我看到Puig下放到小聯盟後各方面都有長足的進步，小聯盟的隊友們都很愛他，他也把該有的表現展現出來，看到Puig的轉變，我認為他在道奇隊未來的進攻端會扮演重要的角色。」



球場外酒吧鬧事、球場內桀驁不馴是Puig最鮮明的形象，也讓隊友們非常受不了他的個性，球隊王牌Clayton Kershaw就曾公開呼籲球團：「趕緊送走Puig，送走他球隊會更好。」
